Life & Times

Well, we are not going to state with my daughter for powerlifting this year.  She had a wonderful powerlifting season.  She reached new personal records for her.  She squated 435 lbs., benchpressed 220, & deadlifted 365.  This gives her a total weight of 1020 lbs.  I never thought I would see the day that one of my children would use their bodies to lift half a ton.  She is won meets with grace, and was crushed with defeat.  She is, and will always be, my champion!

STATE BOUND!!!

My daughter went to compete in the regional powerlifting meet.  She lifted a total of 780 pounds.  She took 5th place and is now the top 4A regional lifter.  She is so excited about the opportunity to go to the state competition.  She has worked hard and overcome many adversities.  I am so proud of her.  My only regret is that her Granddad was not able to be there to see her.  I know that he was watching from above cheering her on the whole day.  I would love to be able to see his reaction to her accomplishment.  It brings tears to my eyes every time she achieves a milestone and she can not share it with him.  Keep up the hard work B.  Take the state competition by storm!
